About Us

Aim

The league was established in 1987 to promote the work and the unity of its members whose aim is to study God’s Word, the doctrinal standards and other topics which increase insight in God’s works, revealed in Holy Scripture and history.

Focus

The League focuses on being instrumental in the production of study material which has been of enormous benefit to the Bible Study Societies in our federation from youth to adult. We have a separate outline committee which looks for and translates outlines from the Dutch language to the English language. There are only a few people left that have a good grasp of both the Dutch and English language, so this is becoming more of a difficult and time consuming task.

These books (mainly outlines) are for sale at Pro Ecclesia Bookshop for those who live in the metro area, as well as Rockingham Church building, Providence Christian Books bookshop for the Albany area and John Calvin Primary School for those who live in Busselton/Bunbury area.

The League also oversees the organisation of “League Day” which is organised on a rotation basis by our churches, when we celebrate the fellowship we have been given in Christ. This is a special day and we encourage all those who are able, to join us at the next League Day.

An added benefit is the production of the Women’s League magazine twice a year which is distributed to all female confessing members of the Free Reformed Church. The hosting church for League Day is responsible for the contents of the following year’s magazines.

The League is busy in several areas. It is the one organisation in our bond of churches that concerns itself with the provision and production of Reformed study material and the promotion of unity as sisters in Christ. Please remember the League in your prayers and if you have any suggestions for the League to further outwork its aim please pass them onto your League representative.
