i am n: Inspiring stories of Christians Facing Islamic Extremists

by The Voice of Martyrs

262 pages/2016

This is a collection of true short stories about Christians in Nigeria, Iran, Malaysia, Pakistan and Egypt who have suffered persecution at the hand of Muslim extremists between 2001 and 2015. They are written to help us understand what these Christians face as they stand up for Jesus; what sacrifices they make in order to fulfil Gods calling to obey and serve Him.

We often wonder if we would be able to stand firm in the face of such terrible threats and we know that of ourselves we would be unable to. These Christians also know this, and they cling tenaciously to Gods promises and trust in His faithfulness. God also strengthens them to share this wonderful Gospel with others, and He blesses this work so that more people come to believe in this God who is so different from the Allah that they have grown up with.

These are true stories and can be deeply unsettling. However, we know that God has said we will face hatred and persecution in this life from the world. But we know too that God’s promises stand firm and He will grant courage.

The authors of the book encourage us to remember these Christians in prayer and to grow in our faith as we meditate on our God who inspires such love and faith in His followers and who will fail us never.
